How much does it cost?
The cost of participation for all groups is $210.

23rd September 25th September
30th September
(no training on Bank Holiday Mondays)
The Saturday league games have yet to be confirmed but will more than likely commence 4th May. Dates will be made available as soon as they are confirmed.
Where do you train?
Our home pitch is on Mitford School playing fields next to the parking lot.
All home games are played in Cochrane but we travel to other Clubs for some league games.
What equipment/clothes should I bring/wear?
You do not need to bring any equipment. Everything will be provided so that you can learn/play the game of rugby.
For training you need to wear sports clothing but no hoodies or zippers for safety reasons. Soccer cleats are usually recommended when the grass/mud is dry (which it more than likely will be when the children play - Town of Cochrane close the pitch if it is too wet).
It is compulsory for all children to wear a mouthguard. Standard ones can be purchased at any good sports store. If gagging is a problem then a fitted one is recommended. Bow River Dental Centre (located behind Macdonalds in Cochrane) can fit one for you in a couple of days but they do cost more than standard ones.
Jerseys and shorts will be provided for festival/league games. A deposit of $50 in the form of a cheque will be taken for each kit given out. This will be returned once the full kit is handed back in, in a satisfactory state.
Children will receive a pair of navy blue rugby socks, included in the fee.

During 2012, Bow Valley entered a team into the U17/U19 girls league. This team was made up of girls from Bow Valley Cochrane High School team, some girls new to the sport and some girls with provincial and national experience. The team has developed strongly throughout the season and have been successful in winning most of the league games played. The girls have received tremendous support from the community with good crowds attending each home match.
